My name is Darren Miller, I started this company as a way to fulfill my fathers love for helping others, anyone who had the opportunity to meet my father would tell you how much he enjoyed doing for others, it just made him happy and that’s the reason he started Miller Plumbing Co. He enjoyed helping and giving as much or more than anyone I have ever met.
My father started Miller Plumbing Co. or later to be known as Miller Plumbing Services in the early 80’s as a one man, one truck, after hours and weekends kind of company. He could out-work a mule with the hours that he put in, but through years of hard work he turned his little company into a company that he was proud of, people were proud to work for, and customers were proud to tell their neighbors about. Anyone he had done work for would happily recommend him for the work ethic he had and the way he stood behind the work that he and his company did for them.
Phil Miller proudly served the Atlanta area for almost thirty years, built a successful company and earned the admiration of all who knew him. In 2010 80% of all the customers he had were repeat and referral, that certainly says something for the way he treated and looked out for his customers,
Sadly, my father passed away in 2010. I was told that we should shut the business down without him to run things. I hated to do it, but I thought there was no way I could afford to keep it going, so I did what I was told. As the days went by the question of how became clear, even after technically shutting down and turning off the phones' old customers still found a way of getting in touch with me saying they still needed our services. So I took everything I had and went into business carrying on all the things my father taught me over the 18 years I had worked for him and over just a few short months Miller Legacy Plumbing was created in his honor.
I have spent the last 5 years of my plumbing career running the office and learning the values and lessons my father had for taking care of and retaining the customers you expect to build life long relationships with.
Rest in peace dad, your memory will always be with so many.
